Tyler Bullock II is a New York-based pianist, composer, and arrangermaking his way into the city’s musical landscape while studying at the Juilliard School.
Tyler has performed at Carnegie Hall, Dizzy’s Club, The Blue Note NYC, Smalls, The Jazz Gallery, Joe’s Pub, Clement’s Place, Keystone Korner in Baltimore, The Newport Jazz Festival, The Jacksonville Jazz Festival, The Montclair Jazz Festival, and The Jamaica Queens Jazz Festival. He has played with Dee Dee Bridgewater, Sean Jones, Joe Farnsworth, Ray Chew, Ulysses Owens, Jr’s Generation Y Band, The Roy Hargrove Big Band, Eddie Allen Big Band, Phillip Harper, Bruce Williams, Chris Beck, and Jeffrey Miller.
Tyler received national recognition as the jazz piano finalist for the 2022 YoungArts Competition along with a 2021 selection for Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Orchestra for Jazz – directed by Sean Jones – and performed on the big band album now streaming on all major platforms – and a 2020 selection for the Vail Jazz Workshop – under the guidance of legendary jazz bassist and composer John Clayton.
