Unique jazz vocalist, composer, and arranger, Kaylé Brecher (Kay-La BrecKer) is a singer who is at once completely distinctive and an amalgamation of her great musical influences. Showcase Magazine described her sound as “a supple voice that suggests the pairing of Sheila Jordan and Sarah Vaughan.” One could accurately add Morgana King and Ella Fitzgerald to that description. Hers is a versatile and flexible instrument with wide range, which can move from silky, smooth and subtle to bold and bluesy; refined to brash and raw. Her instrumental and compositional approach to singing leads to explorations of the mood, texture and style in each individual tune, which results in exciting variety. Imaginative, versatile and eclectic, she has performed in settings ranging from traditional jazz through bop, free jazz and experimental music. Kaylé is a native New Yorker who began her career as a very young teen, singing blues and standards in the clubs of Greenwich Village. She has opened for Maynard Ferguson, Freddie Hubbard, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Doc Severinsen, and has shared the stage with Mel Lewis, Lee Konitz, Red Rodney and others.

Jazz Jam with Orrin Evans
Jazz Jam World Cafe Liveʼs long-running Jazz Jam is for musicians and listeners alike. Orrin Evans and his house band will start the evening with a few tunes before they invite a rotating lineup of players to the stage. Instrumentalists and vocalists are welcome to sign up and sit in throughout the evening.
During his kaleidoscopic quarter-century as a professional jazz musician, pianist Orrin Evans has become the model of a fiercely independent artist who pushes the envelope in all directions. Never supported by a major label, Evans has ascended to top-of-the-pyramid stature on his instrument, as affirmed by his #1-ranking as “Rising Star Pianist” in the 2018 DownBeat Critics Poll. Grammy nominations for the Smoke Sessions albums The Intangible Between and Presence, by Evansʼ raucous, risk-friendly Captain Black Big Band, stamp his bona fides as a bandleader and composer. In addition to CBBB, Evansʼ multifarious leader and collaborative projects include the Eubanks Evans Experience (a duo with eminent guitarist Kevin Eubanks); the Brazilian unit Terreno Comum; Evansʼ working trio with bassist Luques Curtis and drummer Mark Whitfield, Jr.; and Tar Baby (a collective trio of 20 years standing with bassist Eric Revis and drummer Nasheet Waits). One of Tar Babyʼs two 2022 releases will be released on Evansʼ imprint, Imani Records, which he founded in 2001 and relaunched in 2018.
Admission is Free. RSVP guarantees admission only. To make a table reservation and guarantee a seat, click here or call 215-222-1400.
Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass
Herb Alpert recreates the iconic sound of the Tijuana Brass, who from their dazzling sweep of the 1967 Grammys with "A Taste of Honey," became the sound of the sixties and beyond. Hit after hit followed, including "The Lonely Bull," "Spanish Flea," "Mexican Shuffle," "Tijuana Taxi," "Zorba the Greek," and more. These days, the National Medal of Arts-awarded trumpeter, composer and record label executive has plenty to celebrate: Herb will be 90 years old on March 31, he and his wife Lani are still celebrating their marriage of 50 years, and 2025 will mark the 60th anniversary of the Tijuana Brass album Whipped Cream & Other Delights.
A ticket to this concert is like an invitation to Herb's house for a trip down memory lane. As the band plays TJB hits live, a giant video screen will display hundreds of classic photos, videos, art, and various memorabilia from Herb's music career. Herb will take questions from the audience, sharing memories of his performing career as well as his years as a tastemaker at the record label he founded in 1962, launching the careers of such hitmakers as Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66, The Carpenters, and Burt Bacharach. Don't miss this up-close-and-personal concert!

Warren Oree started the Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble in 1979 and has been touring the world and performing with the group at jazz festivals in Europe, the Caribbean and South America ever since. He has recorded and produced nine (9) albums, of mostly all original compositions. See Discography below” . He has also recorded with Hamiett Bluiette, Khan Jamal, Jamaaladeen Tacuma, Gerald Veasley, Elliott Levin and other notable jazz artists. The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra At Sellersville Theater 1894
The great American swing dance band led by the legendary Glenn Miller was formed in 1938. Known for their smooth, flowing melodies and repetitive rhythmic patterns, the Glenn Miller Orchestra achieved immense popularity with hit songs like “In the Mood,” “Moonlight Serenade,” and “Pennsylvania 6-5000.” Of the 121 charting singles by Glenn Miller and his Orchestra, 69 were Top Ten hits and 16 reached number one.Glenn Miller was one of the most successful of all dance bandleaders back in the Swing Era of the 1930s and 40s. He disbanded his musical organization in 1942 at the height of its popularity to volunteer for the Army. There, he organized and led the famous Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band. On December 15, 1944, Major Miller took off in a single engine plane from Europe to precede his band to France, disappearing over the English Channel, never to be seen again. With the release of the major motion movie The Glenn Miller Story featuring Jimmy Stewart and June Allyson in 1954, interest and popular demand led the Miller Estate to authorize the formation of the present Glenn Miller Orchestra. On June 6, 1956, the reformed Glenn Miller Orchestra performed its first concert and has been on the road ever since. Today, the 18-member ensemble continues to play many of the original arrangements both from the civilian band and the Army Air Force Band libraries. Additionally, it also plays some more modern selections arranged and performed in the Miller style and sound. The Glenn Miller Orchestra, with Erik Stabnau as the orchestra’s present music director, is still the most sought-after big band in the world.
